Osborne Clarke is looking for an associate lawyer to join the Commercial team.

Who is Osborne Clarke Brussels looking for? 

We are looking for someone who:  

  • has 1 to 6 years of experience in commercial law with an interest for the retail sector (distribution, commercial leases, litigation);
  • is a true team player, with an international mindset;
  • is rigorous, precise, pro-active and pragmatic;
  • is a native French speaker with excellent knowledge of English and a good command of the other national language;
  • possesses a law degree with excellent academic results; a master's degree in English is a plus; 
  • has good oral and written communications skills.

You will assist a large number of local and foreign distributors to set up their development strategy, adapt their working methods to the considered market, including the management of their network in Belgium and abroad. Taking a global approach, you will gain expertise on all the legal domains related to the retail sector, such as distribution contracts (franchise, exclusive distributorship, agency, etc.), commercial lease contracts, transfers of business, trade practices (publicity, commercial promotions, brands), antitrust (vertical restrictions), GDPR and intellectual property issues.
