Parkwind is also constructing the 257MW Arcadis Ost 1 project in Germany which expected to reach full operation in 2024.

Considering its further international business expansion, Parkwind is looking to enlarge its legal team with a Regulatory Counsel

Description of the vacancy

  • You will be joining Parkwind’s dynamic legal team focusing on energy offtake, regulatory matters and permitting for renewable projects in Belgium and abroad.
  • You will advise on and negotiate strategic offtake and regulated agreements, including contracts for difference, corporate power purchase agreements (financial or physical), grid connection and proximity agreements for on- and offshore wind energy projects and other renewables. You will advise on legal risk and liabilities associated with such contracts and how to manage these.
  • You will advise on and support permitting of such projects across the globe.
  • You will liaise with your colleagues of the business teams (incl. business development, projects, offtake, technology) to ensure and coordinate appropriate support.
  • You will report to our head of legal.

Profile

  • You have a master’s degree in law.
  • You have 4-8 years of relevant professional experience in the energy sector (e.g., in-house position with power producer).
  • You are passionate about renewable energy and interested in energy markets.
  • You are solution-oriented, pro-active and pay attention to details.
  • You have the ability to manage several things at the same time without losing oversight.
  • You have good diplomatic and social skills and enjoy building relationships with stakeholders.
  • You are a team player and possess a high level of integrity.
  • You have an analytical mindset.
  • You have good social skills and can work efficiently in a team.
  • You are flexible and willing to travel on an occasional basis.
  • You are a fluent in English. Fluency in Dutch and/or French is a plus.
