The global law firm Jones Day announced that Sara Vanderstraeten has joined the Firm as of counsel in its Labor & Employment Practice. Ms. Vanderstraeten is based in Jones Day’s Brussels Office.
Ms. Vanderstraeten has 17 years of experience advising companies across multiple industrial sectors, based on her in-depth knowledge of employment, pension, and social security tax law. She advises clients on company restructurings and M&A transactions, including due diligence, works council consultation and negotiation procedures, post-deal integration projects, employee transfers, dismissals and plant closures.

Ms. Vanderstraeten earned her law degree from the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) in Belgium. She is fluent in Dutch, French and English.
