What your future may hold

As Compensation & Benefits Lead you will complement the Payroll and Compensation & Benefits team and report to the Payroll and & Compensation & Benefits Head EU. You work closely together with the payroll officers, HR officer and the broader HR team (HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition team, Learning & Development, HR Head). You coordinate and support all C&B processes for Belgium and Ireland.

  • Your primary focus is to manage both existing and new compensation & benefits projects, including job grading and benchmarking, in accordance with global guidelines with a focus on ensuring and complying with future salary transparency legislation;
  • You will implement and oversee various benefits programs such as bike lease programs, warrants, flex income plans, mobility budget;
  • You assist in the yearly salary review and bonus & merit process;
  • You document various procedures and policies (e.g. standby policy, telework policy), initiate and supervise tax rulings (net costs allowances);
  • You evaluate and optimize the various benefits structures (e.g. hospitalisation and group insurance) in the context of market conformity and cost efficiency;
  • You monitor, analyze and implement government measures for reduction of employer charges and taxes;
  • You ensure your C&B expertise is always up-to-date, staying informed about the latest labour market trends;
  • Internally, you are the go-to expert for all C&B-related topics;
  • You guarantee clear and timely communication on C&B matters to both management and employees;
  • You will contribute to the optimisation of HR data & analytics (including salary cost, absenteeism, etc.);
  • You participate in HR projects (not limited to C&B alone) leveraging your strong data analytics and operational excellence skills;
  • You report to the Payroll and Compensation & Benefits Head EU and will collaborate with the Global Total Rewards Team based in the US for global topics.

Your skillset

  • You have a master’s degree, in a relevant discipline such as international business economics, law and/or tax;
  • Compensation & Benefits are your forte. With at least 5 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards, whether within a company or as a rewards consultant, you have gained deep understanding and expertise in this field;
  • You have a strong interest in and knowledge of group insurance and the related legislation;
  • You enjoy to take full responsibility for C&B-related projects from planning to implementation and follow-up;
  • You have experience in a complex environment where stakeholder management is key. You enjoy working in a changing environment and leading others through phases of change where flexibility is key;
  • You have an analytical mindset and eager to go the extra mile to achieve a goal;

  • Advanced knowledge of MS office (especially Excel) is required. Experience with Workday, EBlox, Protime is a plus;
  • Mastery of both Dutch and English is essential (oral & written). Any other language is an asset.
