With a strong academic background, Stijn has earned his expertise in criminal law as a doctoral researcher and gained valuable experience at a leading Belgian law firm as a senior attorney. At that firm he provided legal assistance to businesses, government entities, and individuals involved in criminal law matters. As a seasoned criminal law expert, Stijn's primary focus lies in business criminal law. He offers comprehensive support to both to those facing criminal allegations and to those affected by criminal offences. His areas of specialization encompass a wide range of matters, including the criminal liability of legal entities and their executives, money laundering, fraud (encompassing employee and tax fraud), cybercrime, corruption, workplace accidents, and whistleblowing.
He frequently represents clients in Belgian courts and tribunals, in both Dutch and French. Additionally, his certification in "Cassation Proceedings in Criminal Cases" enables him to handle criminal cases before the Court of Cassation.
In addition to his legal qualifications, Stijn has successfully completed the Masterclass in Fraud Auditing and holds certification as a forensic auditor from the Belgian Institute of Fraud Auditors (IFA).
