Legal Counsel

• Draft and negotiate various legal instruments (DBFM/BOOT/Concession agreements) PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements), loan documentation, non-disclosure agreements, letters of intent, memoranda of understanding, term sheets, joint development agreements, consortium agreements, articles of incorporation, shareholders agreements, internal financing agreements, etc.).
• Provide legal advice and assistance throughout the project execution, including follow up on any claims, in close cooperation with the relevant project team.
• Advice on corporate law and corporate governance related issues.
• Select and manage outside counsel(s), notaries, advisors in this field.
• Participate in monitoring legal compliance, keeping up to date with new regulations, analyse their impact on operational activities and ensure their implementation.

• Master’s degree in law, with a strong academic track record; any additional degree is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant and demonstrated experience in contract drafting and negotiation, commercial law, and corporate law, either in a major law firm, or with a company, preferably in an international and business development context.
• At ease in dealing with complex projects and project documentation.
• Fluent in Dutch, English and French; any other language is a plus.
• Able and willing to combine a sustainable business enabler role with and outspoken intellectual independence, to promote a sound and sustainable contractual framework for BESIX Invest operations.
• Rigorous, methodical, attention to detail.
• Outstanding drafting skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player; driven by collective results rather than individual achievements.
• Self starter; capable of multi-tasking in a demanding and deadlines-driven environment.
