Regulatory Compliance Officer

Worldline Financial Services (Europe) SA (WFS EU SA) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our 2nd Line of Defense Compliance team. This role is essential for ensuring our adherence to both global and local regulatory standards within the dynamic financial services landscape. The Regulatory Compliance Officer will report to the Chief Compliance Officer located within WFS EU SA. This reporting line falls under the responsibility of the Group Chief Compliance Officer – 2nd Line of Defense, overseeing multiple geographies and legal entities.

• Guardian of Regulatory Reporting: Act as the principal point of contact for all matters related to regulatory reporting, serving as the liaison between the operating business and the WFS EU Compliance office.
• Report Preparation: Ensure that all regulatory reports are meticulously prepared and submitted in compliance with the standards set by the Compliance office.
• Documentation Revisions: Review and revise documentation, particularly the Compliance Control Framework, to ensure it aligns with current regulatory expectations.
• Regulatory Watch: Conduct ongoing monitoring of regulatory changes, assessing the implications of EU directives and domestic laws—including MICA regulation—in collaboration with Group regulatory compliance and participating in monthly Regulatory meetings.
• Process Design: Oversee the design and implementation of processes and procedures to effectively meet regulatory requirements.
• Compliance Reporting Support: Assist in the compliance reporting process to the CSSF and other relevant regulatory bodies within the Worldline Group.
• Regulatory Advice: Provide insightful regulatory advice and support for structuring new business offerings and initiatives.
• Passporting Notifications: Manage passporting notifications and ensure appropriate reporting in host member states as applicable.

• A Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Compliance, or equivalent experience in a regulatory function within the payment services industry (banks, payment institutions, fintechs, etc.).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulatory or compliance officer role within the financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of PSD2 and related EBA guidelines.
• Knowledge of MICA regulations pertaining to crypto assets and/or a keen interest in crypto assets/blockchain, along with the willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with the card payment industry is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in standard IT applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both verbal and written.
