Senior Corporate / M&A Associate

Quorum is looking for a Senior Corporate/M&A lawyer with 6-9 years of experience to reinforce their Corporate/M&A team. 

Quorum’s growing Corporate/M&A Team works for SME’s, start-up & scale-up companies, private equity investors and multinational enterprises in national and international transactions.

As Senior Corporate M&A lawyer, you will notably be responsible for:

• Transactional Management
  • Lead and manage all aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, drafting and negotiating agreements, and transaction closing.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of key legal documents, such as purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and other closing documents.
• Workflow Organization and Delegation
  • Coordinate and manage internal workflows to ensure seamless transaction progression.
  • Assign tasks to junior associates, providing clear instructions, timelines, and goals.
  • Review work product from junior team members to ensure quality and consistency with firm standards.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to meet client objectives efficiently.
• Client Relationship Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and strategic advice on transaction progress.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively address potential issues or concerns.
• Leadership and Mentorship
  • Guide and mentor junior associates, fostering their professional growth and ensuring their alignment with firm objectives.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
• Strategic and Business Development
  • Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities for business growth and client acquisition.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and legal developments to provide forward-thinking solutions.

• You have a master’s degree in law and can present a strong academic track record. An additional master’s degree or LLM is a plus;
• You have 3 to 9 years of relevant experience in the field of corporate law;
• You are capable of making in-depth analyses, providing creative and pragmatic solutions and working autonomously;
• You are inspired by working with others and have excellent communication skills;
• You are ambitious and you want to grow in a professional environment;
• You are fluent in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
