Profile:

You are bilingual in Dutch and in French and fluent in English
Up to seven years of experience in the competition and European law department of a reputed business law firm
You hold a Belgian law degree with enviable academic results with a Master or LLM in European law
Strong analytical skills and a creative mind, taking initiatives and having a real interest in business life
Accuracy and rigor are two of your qualities
You are a team-player

Main responsibilities:

Advise companies, public authorities and national and international groups in several areas of EU and competition law, such as State aid, merger control, antitrust, FDI and FSR
Cooperate with the various foreign CMS law firms and the different CMS Belgium departments, to experience the multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary approach of cases
Manage files from start to finish, act with a satisfying degree of independence, under the supervision of a partner
Assist to client meetings
Intervene in procedures before the European Commission, the Belgian Competition Authority, the Court of Justice of the EU and national jurisdictions
