On 13 February 2019, the Federal Public Service of Finance announced on its website that the deadline for the registration in the UBO register has been postponed until 30 September 2019.
Uncertainty
The (new) minister of Finance admits on his website that there remain too many uncertainties for companies. Questions are raised about the exact scope of the UBO-registration. The UBO application is not yet on point from an IT perspective to register the UBO’s of all Belgian companies.
New FAQ and UBO application for mandatories
According to the minister, new FAQ will be published in the course of this month. A new UBO application will be introduced for mandatories who submit UBO information on behalf their clients-companies.
