Liedekerke announces today the opening of an office in Antwerp (Belgium).
The office in Antwerp is the 5th office for the firm globally, after Brussels, London, Kinshasa (DRC) and Kigali (Rwanda).
The opening of the Antwerp office underscores the firm’s commitment of being the leading Belgian independent firm with real full-service capabilities and a strong network, both in all Belgian regions and internationally. The launch in Antwerp confirms the firm’s strategic choice to be as close as possible to a consistently growing client base in the Flemish region.
The opening is another milestone in the transformation the firm has gone through in the last decade, allowing us to cross sell our services and capabilities.
The office is located in the iconic Antwerp Tower near the Central Station and the Antwerp Opera House.
Liedekerke Antwerp will be led by partners Freya Mareels, Wim Dedecker (both Corporate & Finance), Dominique Devos (Regulatory) and Roel Fransis (Insolvency & Restructuring, Corporate & Finance Litigation), who will be joined by a group of other partners, counsel and (senior) associates from various practice groups.
“We are thrilled to be expanding our footprint into Antwerp, a vibrant economic centre of Flanders. With the broader Antwerp region becoming more and more important as a hub for clients in several of our key practices, including private equity, financial regulation, projects, energy and environment, opening an office in Antwerp became an obvious choice.” says Etienne Kairis, Co-Managing Partner. “In addition, it is the home to some of the largest corporates in Belgium and many international groups have chosen Antwerp as the home of their Belgian headquarters. The entire team is excited to become part of the local eco-system”, adds Alexandre Emond, Co-Managing Partner of Liedekerke.
