For a leading law firm in Luxembourg, we are looking for a (Senior) Associate with 3 to 5 years' experience. Fluent in French with excellent command of English.

Our client

Our client is a leading independent business law firm located in Luxembourg. It employs around 40 people and provides high quality legal services to national and international clients in various areas: corporate law (incl. corporate structuring, private equity and M&A), real estate, employment, IT/IP and data protection, banking and finance (incl. capital markets and financial services regulation), investment funds, etc.

Tasks

As part of a dedicated team, you will work on various types of files and provide legal advice to a wide range of international and multinational clients, private equity houses, financial institutions and institutional clients.

Your duties will include:

  • Working actively on the files with the team (including liaising with external officials) and attending client meetings and calls
  • Undertaking research on several topics and distilling such research into pragmatic advice
  • Being involved in a wide variety of files including, but not limited to, issues relating to data protection (GDPR), IT related matters, contractual matters, e-commerce, media law, telecommunication and intellectual property
  • Participating in the development of the department through visibility actions, such as legal news or conferences
  • Monitoring trends in the field, both in Luxembourg and in the European Union

Profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree in law
  • You have 3 to 5 years' relevant experience, ideally within a law firm, with a strong focus on IT/IP and data protection. Knowledge of media law and telecommunication is a plus
  • You have significant experience in international files concerning data protection and contractual matters
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You are a team player, work independently and are eager to learn
  • You are pragmatic and client-oriented
  • You have exceptional organisational skills and are able to adapt easily
  • You are fluent in French and have an excellent command of English
