As Senior Legal Counsel, you will support the business and the Benelux Legal Director in all legal matters requiring senior legal expertise, in particular:
- Prepare, review and negotiate contracts, or other legal documents with an acceptable level of risks;
- Support the business in all legal and contractual matters including claim management, dispute settlement;
- Contractual and legal evaluation of tender documents;
- Support the business in proactively managing and instructing litigation, arbitration or other dispute matters;
- Handling of corporate law matters;
- Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
- You hold a Belgian master’s degree in law, an additional LLM or LLB is preferred;
- You have a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in an international business environment or law firm, with private practice experience at an international law firm considered an advantage;
- You have a solid understanding of international contracts and have gained exposure to international practices through academic or professional experience;
- You have experience with public tenders;
- You are fluent in French and English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus;
- You have an open-minded and solution-oriented approach;
- You thrive in collaborative environments and demonstrate strong team spirit;
- You provide sound risk analysis and reasoning;
- You are proactive, responsive, and resilient;
- You are business minded.
