Role description summary

The candidate will be hired for a fixed-term period of 12 months to assist with the EU related project, supporting the Legal Services Technology and P&I team (the Team). Supporting the Team (and the EU Programmes team of SES), the candidate contributes to SES’s efforts work with the European Commission in respect of the Infrastructure for Resilience, Interconnectivity and Security by Satellite (IRIS2) programme, working with various internal and external stakeholders.

You will be responsible for (this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Participate in drafting and reviewing of template agreements (including with subcontractors)
  • Participate in drafting, reviewing, negotiating of commercial agreements (as the case may be)
  • Analyse EC documentation and related legislation
  • Maintain regular engagement with internal stakeholders and members of the Consortium
  • Conduct research and drafting memoranda in various legal fields
  • Liaise with specialized outside legal advisors
  • Handle a variety of other tasks and requests on a daily basis to facilitate SES’s participation in the project.

 

Your profile

Must Have:

  • Master’s degree or LLM in law
  • 1-3 years of experience in a legal environment (e.g. law firm, in-house legal department etc.)
  • Excellent drafting skills (in English) 
  • Ability to work with complex legal documents  
  • Flexibility and team-spirit
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment
  • Good interpersonal relations and communications skills (written and oral)
  • Good time management and priority setting skills; ability to work under pressure
  • Proactive approach, can do mentality and ability to work autonomously
  • Rapidity in acquiring new knowledge
  • Capability to work in an accurate and organized manner with proven attention to detail
  • Ability to work in Luxembourg and EU nationality
