WDP is a leading European logistics real estate specialist. The company develops and leases properties located along major logistics axes in six European regions. What your future may hold

As Legal Counsel, you are responsible for the further development of the legal team and you provide support to the various companies in the WDP group, i.e. the listed Belgian parent company and its subsidiaries in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, Romania and Germany.

  • In the performance of your job, you will report to the CFO and the General Counsel, who will grant you a lot of autonomy in this respect;
  • Without losing your general legal view, you will focus on company law, financial law, contract law and compliance;
  • You will provide advice on corporate and regulatory aspects of group companies:
    • Preparation and follow-up of boards of directors and shareholders’ meetings, amendments to articles of association, etc.
    • Periodic reporting (annual report, corporate governance charter,…)
    • Follow-up subsidiaries and joint ventures (shareholder agreements, articles of association, management agreements,…)
    • Legal entity management and its continuous optimization
  • Together with the local operational and legal teams, you guide corporate real estate transactions, occasionally in collaboration with external advisors. In the context of share or asset transactions, you participate in negotiations, coordinate the acquisition process, and contribute to drafting documents such as purchase/​sale agreements, shareholder agreements, legal reports, required capital increases, etc. You assist in the operational integration of such acquisitions into the WDP group;
  • Together with the General Counsel, you further develop the compliance and risk standards for the various business processes within WDP (NIS II, GDPR, ESG, CSRD, CSDDD,…);
  • Follow-up of relevant laws and regulations: communication and awareness thereof, drafting and maintenance of template contracts, etc.

Your skillset

  • You have a master’s degree in Belgian law and preferably have at least 4 years of relevant work experience in the field of corporate law, ideally built up in-house as a corporate lawyer in a listed company;
  • You work accurately and in a structured way, you have good analytical skills;
  • You are a real team player and have an open can-do mentality;
  • You are communicative, proactive and have a sense of responsibility;
  • You combine business acumen with a pragmatic approach and are commercially minded;
  • You have a fluent spoken and written knowledge of Dutch, English and French.
