For our client, a leading independent Belgian law firm, we are looking for an Associate with a first experience in public / environmental law to join its Regulatory department. Dutch native with an excellent command of English and a knowledge of French.

Tasks

As an Associate within the Regulatory team you will be involved in a broad range of matters for a varied client base. Your tasks will include: 

  • You will draft & review legal documentation in public law with a focus on regulatory and environmental law (permits, zoning, planning, energy, climate change, ...)
  • You will engage with clients right from the start
  • You will manage cases from A to Z 

Profile

  • You hold a Master in law, a specialisation in environmental law is a plus
  • You have up to 3 years of experience in public law (environmental law, zoning and planning)
  • You have strong analytical skills and an editorial fluency
  • You are client-oriented and have a practical and commercial mind-set.
  • You are able to meet deadlines
  • You are eager to learn, enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated
  • You are Dutch native speaker with an excellent command of English and a written comprehension of French
