Associate Corporate Litigation

As an Associate, you will perform challenging legal work for large and medium-sized Belgian and foreign companies. You will join a growing team of corporate litigation specialists with whom you will work closely, and be in direct contact with our clients.
Astrea’s Corporate Litigation team advises clients on complex litigation matters that fall under corporate law.

• You will assist the clients in the pre-litigation and the litigation phase.
• You will assist with drafting answers to queries / claims, determining potential liability, advising on mitigating actions, advising clients on the legal merits and on an appropriate legal strategy. 
• You will assist with drafting pleadings and summons, conclusions, elaborating arguments and support with relevant documentation; 
• You are in close contact with clients, you thoroughly analyze their needs and aid to develop effective strategies to their problems.
• You represent Astrea by attending various events, by contributing to newsletters and publications and by contributing to external client seminars.
• You ensure that your professional knowledge is always up to date by actively participating in internal or external professional groups, training courses and seminars.

• ‍You have a Belgian master's degree in law, ideally with a focus on corporate law. 
• You have at least 3 years of solid experience in Corporate Litigation. 
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.  
• You are customer-oriented, accurate and able to provide thorough analysis and practical solutions.
• You are a real team player with strong communication skills and entrepreneurial spirit, but you are also able to work independently.
