Junior Policy Advisor

• The opportunity to act as an ambassador for a vibrant sector representing the interests of over 150 real estate developers and investors;
• Working in a small team of people offering on the job training and the ability to expand your network in the real estate and lobby sector;

You will act as an ambassador of the real estate sector by:

• monitoring and analysing regulatory initiatives in the field of real estate both at European, federal and regional level;
• drafting position papers and other lobby or communication materials to inform our members and other stakeholders on relevant sector positions and updates;
• preparing the UPSI-BVS commissions and thematic working groups under supervision of the chairman/chairwomen of the respective working groups;
• preparing the board of directors and annual meeting;
• responding to and coordinating information requests from members;
• setting up sector conferences and seminars covering important regulatory and sector updates with our office and event manager;
• setting up and managing a digital regulatory database.

You

• Have a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in the field of law, economics or political affairs;
• Are eager to embark or continue your professional journey in a junior role;
• Show interest in the real estate sector and the field of public affairs;
• Have a perfect mastery of spoken and written French and excellent understanding of Dutch;
• Have the ability to write clearly and concisely;
• Are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office;
• Are a strong team player with the ability to connect with our members and other sector federations.

Our Client

UPSI-BVS is the leading business organization and professional sector federation of the Belgian real estate developers and investors. They count almost 200 real estate developers and investors active in various sectors: residential, offices, logistics, retail, … .

Their primary aim is to defend the interests of the real estate industry on an European, national and regional level. They advise various public administrations on federal and regional level and inform their members on relevant technical, legal and financial topics and sector updates through newsletters and by organizing their commissions and thematic working groups.
They also organize regularly business lunches, seminars and/or study trips to bring together their members around relevant sector updates.
