The Corporate Affairs Director supports the Landewyck Tobacco Management Team for government, regulatory & corporate affairs strategy definition and implementation. 

Main accountabilities:

  • Develop Government, Regulatory & Corporate Affairs strategy for the Group 
  • Operationally in charge of Cora in Luxemburg (and Belgium) and on EU level 
  • Propose an action plan for the roll-out of the agreed strategy in conjunction with markets 
  • Define advocacy topics priorities and targets 
  • Collect relevant information on the tobacco markets, industry, institutions, public and private organizations etc., analyze it and timely provide internal stakeholders with reliable and ready to use insight 

Main goals & outcomes:

  •  Anticipate the changes and propose tailormade adjustments 
  • Monitor future regulations preparation and identify leverages of action 
  • Develop advocacy materials • Represent the Company in NMAs with aim to obtain a positive outcome serving our interests 
  • Establish and maintain trusted relations with key public stakeholders 
  • Engage with national and EU officials in line with the strategy internally agreed 
  • Identify stakeholders with common interests to support engagement before decision makers 
  • Analyze upcoming regulations and draft guidelines to support internal implementation 
  • Provide Top Management and Business with insightful reports and assistance on specific topics 
  • Alert Top Management on potential critical topics putting at risk the Company future 
  • Prepare or contribute to draft presentations for the Budget and various internal/external events 
  • Support the sustainability management 
  • Manage Corporate Communications 
  • Protect the reputation and image of the Company 
  • Ensure the integrity of all public disclosures by the Company 


Your profile:

  • Master level in Law and/or Political Science 
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory matters 
  • Languages: English mandatory, French and German preferred, all other languages are an asset. 
  • Minimum experience of 10 years in corporate affairs either in a corporation or political institution 
  • Engaged and committed with a positive attitude 
  • Excellent communicator (oral & writing)/Great public speaking skills 
  • Analytical minnd, Very rigorous with a deep sense of details 
  • Reliable, Open minded, Creative & Business oriented 
  • Leadership, Project management's skills Perfectly autonomous in Word, Excel and Powerpoint 
  • Considered as asset
    • Good command of tobacco world 
    • Deep knowledge in tobacco products taxation law 
    • Product packaging and labeling regulation (focus on EU) 
    • Knowledge in new generation products, excise structures and trends
