What your future may hold 

 

As Legal Counsel you provide legal services to Komatsu’s businesses and operations under the final supervision of the GM Legal. You will be based in Brussels (Vilvoorde).

 

You provide:

• Legal support to Komatsu’s Affiliates in Europe & Africa;  
• Legal support to all Komatsu Business Units (ex. After-sales, logistics, Komatsu finance,…);  
• Support in the overall legal compliance management of the Group’s activities (GDPR, competition law, Human Rights, ESG, …);  
• Training on relevant legislation and procedures; 
• Monitoring, interpreting and advising on current and new relevant legislation and case law with impact on Komatsu’s business;  
• Evaluation of the necessity to seek legal advice from external counsel; select, monitor, manage and ensure effective advice by such external counsel.  

Your skillset 

• You have a degree from an accredited Belgian law school; 
• You have a minimum of 3 years’s experience with a focus on general corporate & commercial matters, with an international scope;
• Knowledge of general commercial law (B2B), product safety law, competition law and data (protection law);  
• You are a team player, self-confident and give clear and concise communication (ex. Translate legal language into business language);  
• You are hands-on, able to work independently and to prioritize the key projects;
• Fluent in Dutch and English;
